EP 253: Tenant Orientation: The System That Saves You Time, Money, and Stress
This week, we’re diving into how reactive rental property management can keep real estate investors tied to their phones—even when they’re on vacation. We share how a simple tenant orientation can set expectations, reduce avoidable maintenance calls, and help tenants handle common issues with confidence.
We walk through the systems we recommend covering at move-in, from submitting maintenance requests through a tenant portal and understanding emergency procedures to reviewing rent payments, property quirks, shutoffs, lockout policies, and lease notice requirements. We also discuss why including everyone on the lease and scheduling proactive lease check-ins can prevent miscommunication and unexpected vacancies.
Our goal is to help women real estate investors build more organized rental businesses, protect cash flow, and create space to step away from day-to-day landlord tasks. With clear processes and consistent communication, we can move from reactive property management to running our rentals like CEOs.
